A former 1st Round Pick is expected to be placed on waivers, according to a report.

Former NHL 1st Rounder Headed To Waivers

The St. Louis Blues are expected to place F Jakub Vrana on Waivers, according to Jeremy Rutherford of The Athletic.
Vrana, 27, has 2 Goals and 6 Points in 19 Games Played with the Blues this season. Vrana is the final year of a three-year contract with an AAV of $5.25M. Detroit retained 50% in a trade last season that sent Vrana to St. Louis.
A 13th Overall Pick in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft by the Washington Capitals, Vrana has a career 365 Games Played, with 110 Goals, 99 Assists & 209 Points in 8 seasons with Washington, Detroit & St. Louis. Vrana won the Stanley Cup in 2018 with the Capitals.
The St. Louis Blues sit 6th in the Central Division with 27 Points and a 13-13-1 record, one point behind the Arizona Coyotes for the final Western Conference playoff spot.
