Report: St. Louis Blues actively looking to land a top defenseman ahead of next season

Now, it has been reported by Hockey Buzz that the Blues are looking to land a top defenseman ahead of the 2023-24 season, and it's safe to say there's a few solid options.

As mentioned, the top option for St. Louis here would be the Flyers Travis Sanheim, as he brings experience and youth to the table, while playing for a team that's still in the midst of a very long rebuild.

Another option could be the Calgary Flames' Noah Hanifin, who is looking to get back to an American market after playing five years in Canada, and when you take a look at their current line combinations, it's clear they need help.

It's a solid group, but nothing that could lead them to a Wild Card spot in the West, and after Krug's injury, this is a team to keep an eye on as they may swing for the fences in the coming weeks to add star power to this group.
