Social Media is being critical of Blues Goalie Jordan Binnington after a recent play.

Binnington Faces Fan Criticism Over High-Sticking Play

St. Louis Blues Goaltender Jordan Binnington is receiving backlash after knocking Nashville Predators Forward Luke Evangelista with his stick.
Evangelista scored on Binnington earlier in the game, giving Nashville a 2-1 lead in the 2nd period against St. Louis.
While the high-sticking is not easy to tell if it was intentional or not, some Predators fans took offense to the play, criticizing Binnington's actions, accusing Binnington of being a dirty player.
Binnington, 30, has been criticized in the past by rivals for his play as an agitator goalie, unafraid to engage in conflict on the ice, this recent play fueling anger at the Blues netminder, with his history drawing the ire of fans.
If Binnington will face league punishment is unknown. Binnington was not penalized on the play, and remained in the game, as the Blues lost to the Predators 5-2.
Binnington has a 19-15-2 record on the season with St. Louis, along with a 2.93GAA and a .908SV%.
Evangelista, 21, has 10 Goals, 14 Assists & 24 Points in 53 Games for St. Louis this season.
