Breaking: Maple leafs Key Acquisition Leaves Game Early
The Maple Leafs pre-season rolls on today as the team take on the division rival Buffalo Sabres, and while things are tight, it appears one of the teams big off-season acquisitions may have suffered an injury.

During the course of the game, it was noted that defenseman John Klingberg is no longer on the bench, and while it isn't being reported as a serious injury, it's something to note during a key pre-season.

Now, as the second period is underway, it appears he's not yet returned to the bench, and even if it's not considered something serious, it makes sense for the team to exercise caution this early in the year.
The Leafs put plenty of stock in the veteran Klingberg after a down year in 2022-23, so they'll be hoping it's nothing serious, but for now, it's something to monitor for the Leafs.
