John Tavares scored his 1000th career NHL point on Monday when he tied the game in the dying seconds. Islanders fans could be heard booing him, nit just because of the score, but because it was Tavares. To make matters worse, the Leafs were somehow given permission to leave the bench to congratulate him despite the fact that the game was not over.

Beauvillier Shares Thoughts On Tavares Leaving Islanders
