Leafs Expected to Make Massive Announcement This Week Regarding Nylander
If you thought the Leafs were done with news around William Nylander, you'd be mistaken. Despite the major news of his contract being done and over with, there is expected to be another announcement from the Leafs later this week regarding Nylander, and that is his nomination to the NHL All-Star game.
William Nylander is currently the top vote-getter among fans for the NHL All-Star Game. Voting concludes on Thursday.

The first batch of All-Stars included a representative from each team, and the Leafs were sending Auston Matthews. The remaining 12 spots are open for fan voting. With Nylander ahead by almost 100,000 votes, he is nearly a shoe in to make it to his first career All-Star game.
Other Leafs Are Close to All-Star Voting As Well
The Leafs may be sending more than just William Nylander to the All-Star game, as well. Mitch Marner, Morgan Rielly, and John Tavares are all in the picture for potentially being voted into the festivities. This could mean that the Leafs would have anywhere up to 5 representatives at the game.
We will see who actually makes it into the game when the voting settles later this week.
