For a guy known for his physical style of play, it's a considerable production.
But now, at 35 years old, it's safe to say he doesn't have to same speed as his glory days.
In spite of that, he could be a great addition for a team looking to add grit and aggressivity for a cheap price. Many teams could try to get him, but a return in Toronto seems to be the most plausible option.
Simmonds Back with the Leafs?
Brad Treliving and the Leafs could be interested in getting their player back. Even if he only played 18 games with them last season, being benched the rest of the time, if he accepts a two-way contract, he could help the Marlies and come up in case of injuries.
With all the interesting additions that Treliving made this summer, it would be surprising to see this scenario happening, but many fans hope it becomes true.
