Krug on the Trading Block?

Torey Krug has been a key part of the St. Louis Blues' defense for the past three years and is contracted for another four seasons. Nonetheless, he might consider waiving his no-trade clause for the right deal.
Krug reportedly refused a trade to the Philadelphia Flyers, not wanting to play there.
Jeremy Rutherford of The Athletic wrote:
«But I'm going to predict that a Krug trade happens during this season for three reasons:

1. Even though he has handled the Philadelphia situation professionally, it's a potentially awkward and distracting situation.
2. The Blues have a lot of defensive depth and will want to get Scott Perunovich in the lineup.
3. The team's payroll is near the NHL's $83.5 million salary cap, and moving out Krug's cap hit would go a long way in giving them some cushion."

The Cost of Krug

Krug is a unique defenseman, standing at just 5'9" but playing as if he's much taller. He excels in the offensive zone, particularly in the power plays.
Last season was one of the worst of his career. However, if he rebounds, he could significantly help a contender. His salary could complicate things.
Over the next four years, his cap hit is $26 million, but in actual contract dollars, he will earn $31.5 million.
In summary, acquiring Krug would come at a steep price, but he could potentially be a great addition to any team looking for a deep playoff run.
Do you think he'll be traded?
