Sheldon Keefe Calls Out Bertuzzi for Inconsistency
Tyler Bertuzzi has yet to find his game with the Toronto Maple Leafs, and time is running out on the season for him to find it. He has shown he can score in the NHL before, with a 30-goal season under his belt. However, he hasn't been able to find that yet with the Leafs despite playing on a line with John Tavares and William Nylander for the majority of the season thus far.
Now, Sheldon Keefe has taken to the media to call out Bertuzzi for his inconsistent play this season. Here's what he had to say.

"I would say inconsistent," Keefe said when asked to review Bertuzzi's play of late. "For me, it has taken a while to get going in each game that we have played of late. When the game gets going, he is in it and he is competitive. At times, the game gets away from him a little bit early."
This isn't great for Bertuzzi, who is on a one-year deal with the Leafs. It could be a motivator for him, and Keefe did note that his play has been good against good teams, however, it is hard to imagine he would want to re-sign here if he is having a hard time finding his game.

Bertuzzi's struggles continued against the Edmonton Oilers last night, as the Leafs dropped their fourth game in a row for the first time this season.
The Leafs are getting themselves into some hot water now, with few regulation wins and now dropping games where they have established a lead. They will need to bring their game together in this second half of the season, or massive changes might happen.
