During a recent interview, Keefe revealed that even after the half-way point of the 2023-24 season, he doesn't know which of his players he can rely upon.
«After 42 games, I still have questions about who I can rely upon.»
The likes of Auston Matthews, William Nylander, Morgan Rielly and Mitch Marner have all had fantastic statistical seasons, but this comment should worry many Maple Leafs fans.

Maple Leafs still have plenty of holes

Despite having a star-studded forward group, the Maple Leafs don't have the grit and the toughness on the back end required to win major playoff series, and this comment only further highlights their weaknesses.
While those guys up front have dominated and scored plenty of goals, they just don't play winning hockey at this point, and until someone can step up and lead this team, they won't be taken seriously as a threat in the Eastern Conference.
