The Maple Leafs made the surprising move this summer by moving star winger William Nylander back to his original position of center behind Auston Matthews and John Tavares, but now, he's already back on the wing.

Another move for Nylander

At a recent practice ahead of their Friday pre-season battle, the Leafs reportedly moved Nylander back to the wing, as he was spotted skating alongside John Tavares.
However, it appears that it won't be a permanent move, as it was a very wise move by Coach Sheldon Keefe to integrate one of their rising stars into the lineup some more.
Sheldon Keefe says William Nylander's move to the wing is nothing more than getting Fraser Minten another and having him in the mix.

A star of the future

The 19-year old Fraser Minten has impressed many in Toronto this summer, and the fact that they're now getting him more looks in practice down the middle could be a very good sign of things to come.
The young center tallied 122 points over his past two seasons with the Kamloops Blazers before being taken in the second-round by Toronto in the 2022 NHL Draft, and now, it appears he's making a genuine push for the Leafs roster in 2023-24.
