At a recent practice ahead of their Friday pre-season battle, the Leafs reportedly moved Nylander back to the wing, as he was spotted skating alongside John Tavares.
However, it appears that it won't be a permanent move, as it was a very wise move by Coach Sheldon Keefe to integrate one of their rising stars into the lineup some more.
The young center tallied 122 points over his past two seasons with the Kamloops Blazers before being taken in the second-round by Toronto in the 2022 NHL Draft, and now, it appears he's making a genuine push for the Leafs roster in 2023-24.
