Sources are saying the Leafs and Blue Jackets are talking regarding a Boone Jenner trade
Sources are saying that it is early but there are rumors that the Toronto Maple Leafs forward Nick Robertson is heading to the Columbus Blue Jackets for captain Boone Jenner and other players going both ways.
There is a legitimate rumour about Robertson being shopped to CBJ for Boone Jenner + Defence
Nick Robertson is an agile winger who can play the game without any disruptions to his teammates and has a good hockey IQ towards the game.
Boone Jenner is a remarkable forward, the former Oshawa General was drafted by the Blue Jackets and is a force to be reckoned with. His physical ability and speed would complement the Maple Leafs roster along with his rugged ability to play the game.
However, the central element of the proposed trade involves Andrew Peeke, a notable defenseman from the Columbus Blue Jackets. Since being drafted in 2016, Peeke has demonstrated significant improvement, especially in his defensive capabilities.
His physical style of play, combined with effective use of his stature and reach, has been integral to Columbus.
While he may not be heavily focused on offense, his contribution to the team's defensive strategy is substantial. Peeke's steady play and future growth prospects establish him as a key component of the Blue Jackets' defensive roster.
