Leafs Legend Passes Away

Bob Baun died on Monday evening at the age of 86.
"Friends of the great Bob Baun have posted on Facebook that the legendary Leafs defenseman passed away last night at the age of 86. He had been in poor health in recent months. More on this story to come."

A True Inspiration

Baun played for the Leafs between 1956 and 1967, and then again from 1970 until 1973.
He won four Stanley Cups with the Leafs and is known to have scored the game-winning goal in the Finals of 1964, helping Toronto win its third consecutive Cup. He did it with a broken ankle.
He was also part of the team in 1967 when the Leafs won their last Stanley Cup.
In 964 NHL games, he scored 224 points including 37 goalsé He also tallied 1,491 PIMs.
We send our deepest condolences to the family.
