The Toronto Maple Leafs haven't closed the door on a Mitch Marner trade yet, and now one analyst has made a prediction about the haul they would get.

After months of speculation, the rumours around Mitch Marner haven't gone away, and with training camp just weeks away, the speculation continues. Now, one analyst has made a major prediction, revealing that Toronto should be looking to land someone like Sam Bennett or Matthew Tkachuk from the rival Florida Panthers in a potential haul.
«I know the Leafs covet that kind of gritty presence as part of your top six, who can also generate top-end offensive numbers,» Grimson said. «He is that one piece that may bring the added necessity as management perceives it, the added necessity back to the mix to get them over the hump.»
Unsurprisingly, Stu Grimson of NHL Network predicted an absolute haul for Mitch Marner, despite his pending free agency a year from now, and with the goal scoring talent of Matthews and Nylander in the top six, the grittiness would be very welcome. Over the past two years, the pair of Bennett and Tkachuk have completely turned things around for Florida, who now play with a major edge, and with Toronto's additions on the blue line, they have the ability to change their style of play.
With training camp quickly approaching, the team need to officially make a call on Marner, and if they want to move him, they need to move quickly, as this decision could be one that effects the Maple Leafs organization for years to come.
