The Toronto Maple Leafs' top player Auston Matthews opened up after he beat a record held by Alex Ovechkin last night in a game against the New Jersey Devils.

In the Leafs' 5-2 win against the Devils, Matthews scored his 66th goal of the season, the most in a single season by a NHL player. Before that, the record was held by Alex Ovechkin, who scored 65 in the 2007-08 season.
Here's the historical goal:
In his post-game press conference, he was asked to comment on this impressive feat. As you can guess, he replied with modesty and maturity:
"It's cool. Like, he's obviously who he is and what he's done for the game and obviously what he's accomplished. So it's a big honor just to be in the same sentences."

Matthews proved once again that he's among the bests, if the the best goal scorer of his generation.
All eyes are turned to Toronto to see if he'll reach that incredible 70-goal mark before the season ends. He needs to score four goals, and the Leafs have four games remaining to their schedule.
With that in mind, Sheldon Keefe, who usually tries to rest his players before the playoffs, should send Matthews on the ice for all the remaining games.
Do you think Matthews will score 70 goals this season?
