With the Boston Bruins versus Toronto Maple Leafs rivalry heating up, Bruins' Captain Brad Marchand has surprisingly revealed that Toronto was his favourite team growing up.

You might think, given their original six heritage, that the Toronto Maple Leafs and Boston Bruins rivalry would be well established if there was going to be one. However, with the string of playoff matchups in recent history, as well as some heated matchups in the regular season, it appears that the rivalry is heating up now.
When asked about this, Brad Marchand opened up about his feelings towards the Leafs, stating that he believes the rivalry is the biggest between the Bruins and Leafs and it is no longer between the Bruins and Canadiens. He also admitted that the Leafs were his favourite team growing up.
#NHLBruins winger Brad Marchand was asked about the rivalry with #LeafsForever and said he thinks it has surpassed the one with #GoHabsGo.

He also admitted that the Leafs were his favorite team growing up. Not surprisingly, he said Darcy Tucker and Doug Gilmour were his favs.
The matchup between the Leafs and Bruins is set to be an explosive one this year, with their last regular season game having some intense fireworks. There is clearly no love lost between the teams, and Brad Marchand is at the forefront of the drama.
