With training camp underway new Toronto Maple Leafs head coach Craig Berube got his first look at Nikita Grebenkin and spoke about the young Russian's game.
The Toronto Maple Leafs have made several changes this summer. One of the biggest changes was the addition of Nikita Grebenkin who signed with the Maple Leafs after spending several seasons in the KHL.
Since signing in the NHL with the Maple Leafs Nikita Grebenkin is looking to push for a spot on the roster. After the first couple of days of training camp his new head coach Craig Berube seems impressed.

In a new press conference Craig Berube spoke about the new additions to the Maple Leafs lineup. Craig Berube complimented Nikita Grebenkin for his size and ability to skate at a high level.
With just a couple of weeks until the NHL season begins the Maple Leafs have several difficult decisions to make regarding the roster. If Nikita Grebenkin performs well in the preseason he could force the Maple Leafs hand to keep him on the roster. If he struggles he could end up with a stint in the AHL playing for the Toronto Marlies.
