GM of the Toronto Maple Leafs Brad Treliving admitted on TSN that he is still looking to add more players to the team before the season starts.

The Toronto Maple Leafs recently introduced Auston Matthews as the 26th captain in team history, and Brad Treliving was busy making multiple media appearances, discussing the various changes he's made and what he has planned ahead. It was during this interview on OverDrive on TSN when Treliving stated that he isn't necessarily done adding players to the team before the summer is done.
Brad Treliving also stated that there will be a lot of young players pushing for roster spots up front, which is why the team focused primarily on defense and goaltending during the off-season. They did lose Tyler Bertuzzi and haven't brought in anyone to replace him yet. There is also the Nick Robertson situation who has requested a trade from the team, so Treliving will be busy dealing with that no doubt. He will also have to deal with the Jani Hakanpaa situation who signed a two-year contract but has failed a physical due to an injury.
It is still unclear who the Leafs who are targeting during the last remaining weeks before training camps open, however if something is in the works, it's expected that it will be happening much sooner rather than later.
