Nick Robertson has shown plenty of talent early in his NHL career, but with his unhappiness in his current role, he could be on the move.

The Toronto Maple Leafs have made some very positive moves this off-season, but with young forward Nick Robertson still not having a clear role in the years ahead, they may look to move the disgruntled forward. Now, Heavy.com have taken a look at a potential trade, and have come up with this deal that sends him West to the intriguing Utah Hockey Club.
Maple Leafs get: F Jack McBain

Utah get: F Nick Robertson

On the surface, this would be an intriguing deal for both teams, as it would give Toronto a huge presence in the 6-foot-3 McBain, while the Maple Leafs ship out the disgruntled Robertson who flashed incredible potential last season. In 2023/24, the younger brother of Jason tallied 14 goals and 27 points in his first extended period in the NHL, but with the likes of Bobby McMann and Pontus Holmberg among some talented prospects coming through, he just doesn't have a role.
It's unclear whether or not Brad Treliving and the front office are actively shipping out Robertson, but if they can find a bottom-six name like McBain to impact this team for years to come, it's a deal that makes perfect sense for both parties.
