Maple Leafs organization sign top OHL captain Chas Sharpe

This afternoon the Toronto Maple Leafs have made news by signing a captain for an OHL playoff team. The Toronto Marlies of the AHL have announced the signing of Mississauga Steelheads captain Chas Sharpe.

With the CHL season ending for many prospects now comes the time for many of them to sign professional contracts. Today that opportunity came for the Mississauga Steelheads captain Chas Sharpe. He was signed by the Toronto Marlies on a two-year AHL deal.
News: The Toronto Marlies have signed defenceman Chas Sharpe to a two-year AHL contract beginning in the 2024-25 season. He will join the Marlies on a PTO for the remainder of this season.
Chas Sharpe is a 6'3 offensively inclined defenseman who ended this season with 53 points on 67 games for a high-powered Steelheads team.
Marlies have signed D Chas Sharpe to a 2-year AHL contract. He'll join the team for the rest of the season on a PTO.

6-foot-3 RHD who recently finished his OHL career with the Mississauga Steelheads. Tallied 19 goals and 53 points in 67 games this season.

Chas Sharpe will now get an opportunity to finish out this season with the Toronto Marlies and carve out a role within the organization. If he does well we could see him in a Maple Leafs jersey in the next couple of seasons.
