The Toronto Maple Leafs released an update on Morgan Rielly's health ahead of tonight's game against the Buffalo Sabres.

Rielly missed the last two games, sidelined with an upper-body injury.

Maple Leafs head coach Sheldon Keefe releases new update on Morgan Rielly's health

The Maple Leafs are set to face the Buffalo Sabres tonight, and Morgan Rielly will miss his third straight game.
However, Sheldon Keefe provided additional details, that suggest he'll be back sooner than later.
According to him, Rielly turned a corner and the situation won't be lingering:
"The one thing that's good is once he gets through this day or two here, it's not going to be a lingering situation. It's not an injury that's going to be ongoing. Once he's past it, he's past it. So we just need to give him some time."

While Rielly's away, other defensemen got valuable experience for the playoffs.

The Maple Leafs had an impressive bounce-back performance against the Washington Capitals, in which we saw Benoit and Lyubushkin taking on a larger role.
For young players, this is extremely valuable. Going into the playoffs with confidence is key.
With only ten games remaining to the Leafs' season, they aren't in a hurry to send Rielly back on the ice, as he should use this time to get ready for the playoffs, just like Mitch Marner.
More to come.
