Ryan Reaves caused mayhem on Saturday against the Montreal Canadiens, and it led to former Hab Georges Laraque making an interesting statement.

On Saturday, the Toronto Maple Leafs dispatched with their fierce rival as they charge towards the Stanley Cup Playoffs, and while all of their stars were out to play, it was Ryan Reaves that stole headlines. Not only was he in the head of the entire Canadiens team, but he took down Michael Pezzetta with ease, and it led many to speculate that this wouldn't happen without the popular Arber Xhekaj on the ice.
One former player that did just that was former enforcer Georges Laraque, who took to social media to call out Reaves in this exact situation.
For those who were wondering the importance of Xhekaj in the lineup, I hope you understand after yesterday's game against Toronto. Go watch the previous match between the 2 teams when Xhekaj played, Reaves was invisible, and yesterday he was driving everyone crazy! While the cat's away the mice will play!!! 😂

There is some merit to this comment from Laraque, as Reaves has had many quiet stretches this season, and has only come alive when there's a heavyweight matchup with the likes of Matt Rempe on the line, or when there's absolutely no one at all to stand up to him. With the playoffs right around the corner, Toronto will be hoping he can replicate Saturday's performance and help them take a deep push for the Cup, because if not, their hopes will certainly diminish.
