With trade rumors swirling around the star winger ever since the Leafs' playoff exit, this interaction has certainly raised eyebrows.

Chris Johnston spilled some insider info on Overdrive, giving us a peek into what might unfold for Marner and the Leafs in the coming weeks. NHL insider David Pagnotta threw out a few teams as potential landing spots for Marner, like the Blackhawks, Stars, Golden Knights, and Predators. But besides the Predators, there hasn't been much corroboration from other sources.

Interestingly, Predators GM Barry Trotz recently squashed rumors about going after Marner. Despite freeing up a good chunk of cap space by trading Ryan McDonagh to the Lightning, Trotz basically laughed off the idea of adding Marner to the roster.
