The Nick Robertson and Toronto Maple Leafs saga appears to be coming to an end, as it's expected both sides will finally agree to a deal.

It seems Nick Robertson is a Leaf for at least another year. On "First Up" Monday on TSN 1050, Darren Dreger was confident the Leafs would get the 22-year-old restricted free agent across the line in time before Toronto's training camp gets underway.
The 53rd overall pick in 2019, Nick Robertson has had a really injury-ravaged Leaf tenure that has limited him to 87 games in the NHL. While he's flashed moments of capability, he's struggled to stay in the lineup consistently enough. Last season, Robertson appeared in 56 games, scoring 14 goals and 13 assists for 27 points while averaging just over 11 minutes a game. Often used in a bottom-six role, there is said to be frustration due to his limited ice time.
Darren Dreger also noted that the depth in Toronto on the left side is thin, which could allow him to push his way up the lineup in a much bigger role.
Limited interest from other teams might be another reason Nick Robertson landed on this decision to stay in Toronto, Dreger added.
