It's been over a week since Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau tragically lost their lives, yet people from all walks of life are still expressing their sympathy and acknowledging the impact of their deaths.
It includes NFL Denver Broncos star Alex Singleton, who honored Johnny in a big way on Sunday, wearing his jersey as he entered the arena before their season opener at the Seattle Seahawks where he recorded an interception on the second play of the game.

The tribute from Singleton makes sense, as he and Gaudreau were the toast of Calgary from 2016-2018.
Singleton, in 54 games over three years with the Stampeders, recorded 328 total tackles, which eventually led to an NFL contract with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2019. Gaudreau, originally from New Jersey, was a known Eagles fan, adding another layer of connection between the two athletes.
Singleton's gesture, was a classy way to honor Gaudreau's memory, showing just how deep the bond between athletes and their communities can be.
The Gaudreau brothers, tragically lost their lives on August 29 when they were struck by a car driven by a drunk driver, Sean Higgins, while riding their bikes in New Jersey. The brothers, were in town for their sister Katie's wedding, which was planned for that Friday in Philadelphia.
Katie has responded to the tragedy by engraving the brothers initials on her ring.
