Yesterday, the Toronto Maple Leafs hosted the New York Rangers in a interesting tilt, where many fans across the league watched this highly anticipated match in hopes of seeing a fight between Ryan reaves and Rangers up and coming rookie enforcer Matt Rempe.
Despite the fact they did drop the gloves, Matt Rempe landed a vicious hit on newly acquired Ilya Lyubushkin of the Toronto Maple Leafs, causing fans demanding a suspension. Insider Paul Bissonnette, reaffirmed his support for Rempe in a shocking tweet.

Not a suspension. He's the closest forechecker to him and he just puts on the burners. Rempe could turn a playoff series around with a few of these types of hits. He's a mutant. Valuable if he keeps toeing the line the way he has.
