The Toronto Maple Leafs are still trying to tinker with their roster after losing Tyler Bertuzzi to Chicago, and a reunion with Berube's former winger is possible.

NHL analyst Mike Augello of Hockey Buzz discussed a forward that the Maple Leafs might look to target, as head coach Craig Berube has some history coaching him. That player is Sammy Blais.
Who Could The #Leafs Go The Tryout Route With?
Blais was a member of the Blues when they won the Stanley Cup in 2019, and Berube was their coach at the time. They both have Championship experience and the Leafs could sure use some of that as they continue to fail year after year in the playoffs.
Blais isn't the flashiest of players and won't put up a ton of goals, but he's described as a "sandpaper" type of guy that would bring a ton of grit to the Leafs fourth line.

The Leafs already do have many internal options on their roster for the upcoming season, however seeing as a player like Blais who has won the Stanley Cup and played for Berube is still available, it wouldn't hurt to try and bring in that experience and physicality, as we've seen those two things matter a ton when games get serious in the playoffs.
