Former Goalie Tucker Tynan Files Lawsuit Against the Soo Greyhounds Alleging Mishandling of Injury and Use of Derogatory Language
Tucker Tynan has officially initiated a lawsuit against the Soo Greyhounds for $300,000, citing the mishandling of a shoulder injury and allegations of derogatory language directed towards him.
As per TSN's Rick Westhead, Tynan claims that the team pressured him to play despite his injury and instructed him to self-medicate for pain relief.
Furthermore, he said that he was subjected to racist slurs by the team.
The Greyhounds's president Tim Lukenda shared a statement on these allegations:
"The Soo Greyhounds have received the claim from Tucker Tynan. We intend to vigorously defend the organization against the allegations made. Our players' well-being is of utmost importance to us, and we take great pride in the treatment of our players both on and off the ice."
Tynan currently plays in the Federal Prospects Hockey League with the Port Huron Prowlers.
