BREAKING: Auston Matthews leaves the game

Auston Matthews was forced to leave the game after taking a shot to the inside of his knee. This has raised concerns that he might have sustained an injury. The Toronto Maple Leafs have already had to cope without Matthews in eight games this season. Losing him for an extended period of time would be a major setback for the team, as he is their top center.

Injuries to the knee are particularly worrisome, and it remains to be seen how serious this injury might be. As more information becomes available, we will provide updates on his condition.
