During the first period of the game against the Carolina Hurricanes, Toronto Maple Leafs forward Noel Acciari exited the game after a headshot from Hurricanes forward Jesse Puljujarvi.

Acciari forced to leave game early

Acciari did not return to the game after the hit in the first period and remained absent during the second.
