Red Wings captain Dylan Larkin suffered what appeared to be a very serious injury tonight as the Red Wings took on the Ottawa Senators at home.

Larkin Knocked Out Cold In Game Against Senators

The play came late in the 1st period as the Red Wings were on the power play. The Red Wings captain appeared to take a hit from Senators player Parker Kelley before he had an awkward collision with the ice in which he appeared to land head-first.
Larkin's teammate David Perron attempted to come to his captain's defense by violently cross-checking Senators defenseman Artem Zub in the head. He was then assessed a major and match penalty for intent to injure. As a result, he will likely be served a suspension.
Following the play on Dylan Larkin, David Perron has been assessed a 5-minute match penalty for intent to injure.
Stay tuned for updates on the status of Larkin as this story continues to develop.
