The Dallas Stars' night has gone from bad to awful after goaltender Jake Oettinger suffered a devastating injury.
Stars Goaltender Leaves Game With A Devastating Injury
In the last few minutes, reports have come out that Jake Oettinger has suffered an injury during the Stars game tonight. According to those reports a groin injury looks to be the early diagnosis.
Jake Oettinger leaves the game after making a pad stop from a distance only 8:03 in. Possibly groin-related, almost identical to Leafs Joseph Woll going down. Scott Wedgewood enters.
Jake Oettinger has left the game and gone to the dressing room following an awkward save on Claude Giroux.
Oettinger is a key piece to the Stars team that has had success in recent years. If his injury is significant it could be devastating to the future of the team's season. Hopefully, for Oettinger and the Stars, he will be able to return soon.
As more updates are made available on Oettinger's condition we will provide them to you.
