The entire hockey world was shocked and saddened yesterday when we learned that former Penguins forward Adam Johnson had passed away following a freak accident on the ice. An outpouring of support came out from all corners of the hockey community.

Hockey Socials Mourn Johnson

Support came out from everyone in the hockey world from journalists to content creators and NHL organizations. One silver lining from this is that it is nice to see just how tightly knit the hockey community is.

Johnson's Teammates Speak Publicly

The Nottingham Panthers hosted a small event this morning as a public forum for his teammates, friends, and coaches to speak about him and honor his memory.
Nottingham Panthers head coach Kevin Moore made a short speech thanking the community for their support.
"We all want you to know that we're all grieving this together. The team, the community, the city, and we're all going to get through this together with a lot of love, a lot of thought, and a lot of laughter. As time goes on we're all going to heal and we're going to do it together. Our group is strong, we're connected and we're going to do you guys proud. We appreciate everybody coming out today and everybody thanks you for the support and we love you all."
Daily Hockey Dose would like to send our condolences to Johnson's family, friends, and teammates. Rest easy Adam.
