Analyst Reveals Top Potential Contender to Replace Ron MacLean
Since the last season ended, rumors are floating around concerning Hockey Night in Canada.
The channel has made significant cuts and for a while, it looked like no one's job was safe (except Elliotte Friedman).
The exit of Ron MacLean has been expected ever since Don Cherry's departure from the scene but it looked like it was finally happening.
And now, it's official. MacLean is set to return for the upcoming season.

Yet, the questions remain. Who will step into his shoes when the time inevitably arrives? At 63, MacLean's retirement might just be around the corner.
A suggestion was made by an expert and frankly, we'd love to see it happen.
The best candidate for the job, according to him, is currently working for the Toronto Maple Leafs.
It's none other than the Assistant General Manager, Dr. Hayley Wickenheiser.
She had an amazing career in hockey, winning four Olympic gold medals and one silver, as well as four silvers and seven golds at World Championships.
She's also a physician, giving her an entirely different comprehension of the game.
She would bring a lot to the team over at HNiC, but it would be surprising to see her leave her job with the Leafs. If she ever does that, we hope she'll consider working in broadcasting to share her unique expertise.
