This week, the sports apparel brand Fanatics was revealed as the NHL's official on-ice uniform and genuine retail jersey supplier, starting from the 2024-25 season under a 10-year contract. This announcement triggered an instant reaction from fans, who have long been critical of the company's product quality.

Fanatics Issues Brutally Exposed On Twitter

Following the announcement, many fans voiced their concerns on social media. One fan went above and beyond, comparing an Adidas jersey to a Fanatics jersey in a photograph to emphasize the difference in quality.
"Even disregarding material quality, they can't get the colors right, which is one reason people dislike them"
Another Twitter user posted photos of his Fanatics NHL jerseys with printing mistakes. One example featured a Jared Spurgeon Minnesota Wild jersey with the name misspelled as "Spurgeno."
The second example displayed a New Jersey Devils jersey with Jack Hughes' name and number on the back, but Nico Hischier's number on the sleeves.
A Twitter account named "Fanatics Sucks" showcases a plethora of similar instances.
Do you think Fanatics will do a good job?
