Swift Current Broncos Facing Challenges
The organization's head coach, Devan Praught, has been suspended indefinitely as of Tuesday, November 14. This action follows an alleged violation of the Western Hockey League's code of conduct, as announced by Chad Leslie, the team's general manager.

The suspension stems from an incident involving Praught and Josh Fluker, a 17-year-old defenseman, during a practice session on Monday. Video evidence shows Praught engaging in a physical confrontation with Fluker, including swinging his stick. The WHL Security Network is reviewing this incident.
Praught assumed the head coach role in 2022, having previously served as interim coach after Dean Brockman's departure in October 2021.
Swift Current's Coaching Transition
With Praught's suspension, Taras McEwen, the assistant coach, will take over as interim head coach. This marks the second incident this season where a WHL coach has been disciplined for breaching the Code of Conduct, underscoring the league's commitment to high standards.
The WHL and Swift Current Broncos will not comment further on the ongoing investigation.
