Regrettably, the Rangers were eliminated in the first round, losing in seven games to the New Jersey Devils. Following their defeat, NHL analyst and former Rangers goaltender, Henrik Lundqvist, was teased by Paul Bissonnette (also known as Biz Nasty) on the NHL on TNT for the Rangers' disappointing performance.
When Biz brought up the topic, Lundqvist responded with a friendly jab at his former team by not acknowledging them, instead choosing to say:
Lundqvist was the King of New York playing in 887 games over 15 seasons with the Rangers. Unfortunately for Lundqvist he had to retire after having heart issues, but will remembered as the greatest Rangers goaltender off all-time!
