All week long, there has been plenty of news about hockey legend Jaromir Jagr, with the 52-year old officially announcing that he will retire from professional hockey at seasons end.
However, there's still plenty of hockey to play between now and then, with the former No. 5 overall pick of the 1992 NHL Draft showing that he can still get it done, recording an assist in the teams first game of the season. Now, he's added another milestone, scoring his first goal of the season with an absolute beauty in a victory for the Kladno Knights.
Jagr, who serves as the owner of the team as well as a player has shown he still knows how to score the puck, netting 30 goals over the past five seasons with the Knights, all while rising through the ranks to the top Czech Extraliga.
At the end of his career, Jagr will be recognized as one of the greatest players in hockey history, playing in well over 2,500 career games between the NHL, the Stanley Cup Playoffs and his overseas career, so now we will wait and see if he can cap it off with a title in his final campaign.
