As an American citizen and baseball fan (Go Yankees), I was embarrassed by Ingrid Andress's performance of the American National Anthem at the Home Run Derby. It was called one of the worst renditions ever. But now, Andress, a four-time Grammy nominee, is explaining what happened.
Ingrid Andress was supposed to kick off MLB all star week event with our proud star spangled banner, but her performance was sloppy. The criticism online was swift and brutal.

Andress revealed she was drunk while singing in front of the baseball world.
I'm not gonna BS y'all, I was drunk last night. I'm checking myself into a facility today to get the help I need. That was not me last night. I apologize to MLB, all the fans, and this country I love so much for that rendition. I'll let y'all know how rehab is—I hear it's super fun.
Despite the dud, Andress is getting a lot of support after her statement.
