Bob Cole was the voice of countless childhoods throughout the decades, and he has sadly passed away at the age of 90

Cole, who retired in 2019 after calling a game between the Toronto Maple Leafs and Montreal Canadiens at the legendary Bell Centre, passed away on Thursday at the age of 90, shocking and saddening the hockey world.
Bob Cole began his career calling NHL games in 1973, making his TV careeer incredibly long. He primarily called Toronto Maple Leafs games, being the main voice of the team from 1980-2008.
Cole also called at least 1 game from each Stanley Cup Final from 1980-2008, an impressive show of longevity and consistency.
Cole called his 50th NHL season during the 2018-2019 NHL season, meaning he called games with Connor Mcdavid and games with Wayne Gretzky, a truly legendary feat for an incredible man and a great broadcaster.
The hockey world mourns Cole on this sad day.
