The Ontario Hockey League recently made a major decision to suspend one of their players indefinitely.

Alex Assadourian Suspended Indefinitely By OHL

The decision came after a play in which the forward received just a two-minute minor penalty. However, he could later be seen making a death threat gesture with his hand towards a player on the ice while he was in the penalty box.
To my understanding, this decision was made due to a gesture that #IceDogs forward Alex Assadourian made in the penalty box after he and Luke McNamara had been jawing back and forth when the minor penalty was called.

It was caught on camera by Kingston's tv feed.
The play can be seen below. Shortly after the player entered the box, the video switches to a penalty box camera where the gesture can clearly be seen. Additionally, it appears as though he says, "You're ******* dead."
Assadourian is known to play with an edge, but threats like these are genuinely unacceptable. We will have to wait and see how many games he will miss as a result of this suspension. The decision came two days ago but no new information has been revealed about the case. Stay tuned for updates when they do come on this story.
