Trevor Zegras's relationship with the ducks has seemingly fallen off the rails. In the offseason, GM Pat Verbeek refused to give him a significant contract offer, with Zegras finally settling for a three-year bridge deal with a 5.75 million dollar cap hit. Now rumors that the Ducks are looking to trade him are starting to solidify.

When it came out that Zegras and the Ducks were having contentious contract negotiations this summer, these rumors intensified. After the contract was signed discussions of a trade settled down again but now that Zegras has gotten off to a poor start, the rumor mill is back in full production mode.
