The Athletic recently shared their predictions on the potential moves before this year's trade deadline. A notable speculation involves the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Toronto Maple Leafs.

The Athletic Suggests That the Pittsburgh Penguins Might Trade a Goaltender to the Toronto Maple Leafs

A reporter assigned to the Pittsburgh Penguins thinks that the team is considering trading either Alex Nedeljkovic or Tristan Jarry . According to him, the Toronto Maple Leafs could be on the receiving end of that trade.
More from The Athletic's Josh Yohe:
"The Penguins almost certainly won't make the playoffs at this point, and right now, their team strength is goaltending. I could see Tristan Jarry or Alex Nedeljkovic being moved before the deadline. Both have been excellent. Pittsburgh also has a couple of good goaltending prospects in the system.

Many teams — Toronto, Carolina and Colorado, among many others — could use a boast between the pipes and might be willing to pay quite a price for Jarry or Nedeljkovic. — Josh Yohe"
With Kyle Dubas past ties with the Leafs, there's speculation he might be interested in reuniting with one of his former players in Pittsburgh.
However, the Maple Leafs don't really need a goaltender. With Samsonov playing good hockey recently and Joseph Woll about to come back, general manager Brad Treliving should probably focus on getting a forward or a defenseman.

Do you think the Penguins will trade a goaltender before the deadline?
