Utah Hockey Club Makes Massive Offer to Ducks for Trevor Zegras

The Utah hockey club are seeking another summer splash, reportedly offering the Anaheim Ducks a trade package that includes Alex Kerfoot and prospects for all-star winger Trevor Zegras.

Zegras has that $5.75 million cap hit over the next three years. Kerfoot's a solid bottom-six winger, 30 years old with a year left on his deal at $3.5 million.

Utah's been busy this Summer, snagging top defenseman Mikhail Sergachev from the Tampa Bay Lightning in a blockbuster trade, and signing veterans like Kevin Stenlund and Ian Cole.
They're trying to make a splash in their new city after moving from Arizona. GM Bill Armstrong is cooking up some deals, but Ducks headman Pat Verbeek isn't about to let them swipe their star player without a fight.
Trevor Zegras is reportedly on the trade block.
It's not just Utah in the mix. The New York Rangers and Carolina Hurricanes are also in the hunt for a top winger like Zegras.
