The new Coyotes blueliner recently went on a podcast where he shared one interesting story about his new team. Apparently, the Coyotes defensemen and goaltenders get together once a month for a group dinner. That by itself is nothing out of the ordinary. However, he went on to note how the main topic of discussion at these dinners is how unreliable the team's forwards are at playing defense.
Interestingly, the Coyotes team PR page on X reposted an original post advertising Durzi's appearance on the show. One would think that the team might want as few people to see this as possible as it paints a bad picture for the team's locker room culture.
Then again, developing a strong locker room culture could prove to be difficult when you're locker room is that of an NCAA building and not an NHL one. Regardless, it will be interesting to see if Durzi or anyone else on the Coyotes catches negative attention for this segment. It seemed like it was a light hearted situation, but if the rest of the team did not already know about this, there might be a few angry players next time the team is all together.
