On Sunday it was announced to the public that Brad Marchand's grandmother Frances O'Leary had passed away earlier in the week.

During such a difficult moment of grief, no one would have blinked if Marchand had taken off the weekend to be with his family. However, Marchand decided to honor his late grandmother in the best way he could by playing the game he loved.

In the following games, the Bruins were set to play conference rivals the Toronto Maple Leafs and Columbus Blue Jackets.
