The NHL's packed Thursday slate had plenty of headlines, but none more so than one of the NHL's most hated players making another questionable move, this time against one of the Bruins biggest rivals, the Toronto Maple Leafs.

A massive collision

During the first period, Brad Marchand was battling with defenseman Timothy Liljegren along the boards when he used his stick to trip his opponent, ultimately ending up in an injury that caused him to leave the game.
There was surprisingly no penalty assessed on the play, but given Liljegren's injury, Maple Leafs fans have been petitioning the league and the Department of Player Safety to get involved.
However, it has now passed 5pm ET the following day, and the DPOS haven't announced anything for Marchand, so it appears as though the petitioning from Leafs fans has fallen on deaf ears.
While the play looks ugly, it ultimately wasn't as dirty as some have made it out to be, and now, cooler heads have prevailed and Marchand won't be hearing from the DPOS on this occasion.
