On Thursday night, Timothy Liljegren was injured during a game against the Boston Bruins.
While battling for the puck in the corner with Brad Marchand, Liljegren collided with the boards and had to exit the game.
Marchand faced considerable backlash for his involvement in the incident, as he clearly placed his stick between Liljegren's legs, leading to the fall on the ice.
A prominent figure in the hockey world weighed in on the matter.

Paul Bissonnette, the former NHL player, host of the "Spittin' Chiclets" podcast, and influential voice in the hockey community, shared his insights on the situation:
"Liljegren initiates contact and they both go into stick battle mode. Marchand outmuscles him the result is the position behind his skate. Not dirty. Boys are just battling."
Bissonnette believes both players were battling for the puck, and Marchand didn't do anything dirty on the play.
