Jonathan Huberdeau of the Calgary Flames has been on the decline since his arrival in Alberta. He amassed 55 points last season, compared to 115 when he played in Florida.
This year, he has 6 points in 12 games.
His game has declined rapidly, and we wonder what's going on with him.
Many thought the problem was his head coach, Darryl Sutter, but Sutter was fired and the situation hasn't improved for Huberdeau.
Yesterday, his new head coach, Ryan Huska, benched him for the entire third period. The Flames have not ruled out the possibility of removing him from the lineup for the next game.
He is signed until 2031, at $10.5 million.
