While the Blackhawk's medical staff predicted that Bedard would be away for six to eight weeks after his surgery, he has unexpectedly came back on the ice last week and now insider Charlie Roumeliotis made a big statement.
According to him, Bedard will return against the Vancouver Canucks on February 13th, a week earlier than originally planned.
Here's what he said:
"I'm going to go with February 13 against Vancouver. The Blackhawks have three days off in between [games] and I believe that Vancouver game would be five weeks and one day from the surgery. I still believe Connor is going to be ahead of schedule. Oh, and by the way, the team he grew up rooting for, so that's my target date for him."
Fans are eager to see when Bedard will come back and hope to see him perform well to improve his chances of winning the Calder Trophy.
More to come.
